MARKY'S UPDATE

 

JUNE 19, 2011 SAN ANTONIO TEXAS

DEAR FRIENDS,

DUE TO THE ILLNESS, THEN DEATH OF LINDAS MOTHER, THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS LATE IN COMING. JIM AND I WANT TO TELL ALL OF MARKY'S FRIENDS, THAT HE IS DOING SPECTACULAR AND HAS DECIDED TO MAKE HIS HOME WITH HIS FOSTER PARENTS, SO HIS HEALTH CAN ALWALYS BE PROPERLY MANAGED. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING A PART OF HIS LIFE.

MARKY'S TEETH REMOVAL WAS TAKEN CARE OF THROUGH YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS AND HIS CONTINUED DENTAL NEEDS WERE TAKEN CARE OF BY HIS ADOPTIVE PARENTS.MOST OF THE MONEY FROM MARKY'S FUND WENT TO OTHER CATS WITH MEDICAL AND DENTAL NEEDS;

ANOTHER ONE OF MARKY'S FRIENDS "BLOSSOM" WHO ALSO HAD DENTAL PROBLEMS WAS ABLE TO HAVE HALF OF HER TEETH REMOVED. HOWEVER, SHE CONTINUES TO HAVE DENTAL PROBLEMS AND REQUIRES THE REMAINDER OF HER TEETH REMOVED. SHE CONTINUES TO HAVE PROBLEMS AND HAS TO BE ON ANTIBIOTICS. SHE IS IN SO MUCH PAIN AND CAN BARELY EAT. IF SOMETHING ISN'T DONE SOON, AWSBC WILL LOSE HER. WE'RE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP AGAIN, TO TRY AND SAVE LITTLE BLOSSOM. SHE IS AT SANDY BOWMANS HOUSE, WHO HAS BEEN TAKING CARE OF HER ALL THIS TIME.

 

UNFORTUNETLY, WITH THE ECONOMY SO BAD, AWSBC'S FUNDS ARE DANGEROUSLY LOW. ANY HELP WILL BE DEEPLY APPRECIATED AND SHE COULD DO WITH A FEW PRAYERS TOO. MARKY'S PARENTS WILL BE MAKING A DONATION ON HIS BEHALF, AND HOPEFULLY SOMEDAY REALLY SOON, BLOSSOM WILL SHARE THE SAME GOOD FORTUNE AND PAIN FREE HEALTH.

THESE BEAUTIFUL BABIES BELOW ALL REQUIRE DIFFERENT LIFE FULFILLING SURGERIES; CLICK ON THEIR PICTURES FOR THEIR STORIES. THANKS TO YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT FOR MARKY, YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS INTO MARKYS LEGACY FUND WILL CONTINUE TO HELP THESE OTHER BEAUTIFUL BABIES. HOWEVER, WE STILL HAVE OTHER INJURED BABIES AND WE CONTINUE TO TAKE IN OTHER BABIES REQUIRING OUR ASSISTANCE AND LOVE.

We at AWSBC want to thank each and every one of you for the outpouring of LOVE given for our little Marky. Because of this we are starting a "MARKY LEGACY FUND" that will assist other cats with the same issues that plague Marky. We also have 2 other kitties in foster care that are going to need full mouth extractions because of the same illness and we would love to be able to utilize the remaining funds that have been given towards Marky to assist them in their surgeries.

We will refund anyone's donation if they would like - but we would love to make Marky our ongoing hero by putting any remaining donations in a fund that would help others in need. Hence the 'MARKY LEGACY FUND." If you would like to have your checks returned or would like a refund of what you've sent in please let us know: AWSBC, P.O. BOX 64038, PIPE CREEK, TX 78063. If you would like to apply your donation to another animal in need then we will gladly do so.

I can't tell you how wonderful it makes us feel knowing there are folks out there that truly care about these precious pets and are willing to lend assistance by making donations! Far too many abused and neglected animals find their way to us and we are thrilled to be able to help - but this year we have been inundated with so many special needs that we had to go to the public (you) to ask for additional assistance. We are so appreciative of all the outpouring of help and we hope you will allow us to use some to these donations to help our other animals in need!
